Background:

Nothing special about him.

Hiroshi Kubo is just a mediocre who happened to be blessed with the power of Persona.

His only family is Chiaki Kubo, his little sister with an age of 8. His parents died in a car accident, thus made him responsible as the head of the family. His close relatives--his uncle and his aunt--had offered him to stay with them. But he politely turned down the offer, thinking that it would be best for him and Chiaki to live a new life, faraway from his hometown.

Thus he decided to go to Port Island, living a peaceful live with his sister. There he enrolled at Gekkoukan High and joined the Photography club.

As for their living, he works part-time as the waiter in the Wild-Duck burger. But then he got fired and then works in the Bookworms old bookstore. Despite his being busy—every now and then he dropped by the photography club, to take a look at his club mates’ work.

But then when apathy syndrome broke out, he found his sister lying in a deep sleep and she didn't wake for days. He had consulted the local hospital, but the doctor there said there's nothing wrong with his sister.

Confused and lost, he wandering aimlessly, til he found himself surrounded by shadows.

That is the first time his persona awoken. Yet he admitted he didn't remember a thing about what he did, nor how he survived from the shadows. Ikutsuki found him at the Paulownia mall, gazing fixedly at the moon, corpses of shadow strewn around him.

The chairman asked him to join the S.E.E.S. Kubo simply shrugged and walked after the chairman.

Personality:

Kubo is a lay-back person. Though easy going and nonchalant as he can be, he’s actually sharp and reliable. He prefers calm places, and often found wandering around daydreaming.

Spontaneous and unpredictable, Kubo always goes where he likes. He easily blends with people, yet he puts some distance for his own personal space. People see him as a happy-go-lucky. Though, in fact, only very few of his friends who can read what's in his mind. He pastes his own burden with his perpetual smile, and rarely talks about his past to other S.E.E.S members.

Kubo also has a horrible taste in food. Maybe he's the only living creature survived eating Fuuka's bento and bluntly ask for the second. He's awfully fond with Koromaru, and always looking forward to walk the dog every night.

We could say that he’s the only one who can understand Ikutsuki’s jokes, and with that said, he's also the only one who respects the said chairman highly. He’s forever in debt with Ikutsuki since he takes cover for all the hospital expenses for his sister. And agreed in lending his strength as the trade.
